Enhancing Connectivity and Productivity with the Paylocity Mobile App


As a User Experience Developer & Designer, I worked closely with designers and developers to create the mobile application's code, ensuring that it visually aligned with the expectations and quality desired in the first deployment of the app.
The goal was to create a mobile application that offered employees easy and secure access to their payroll and HR information, thus enhancing connectivity and productivity for over 10,000 nationwide clients.
Extensive research was conducted to understand the needs of employees and HR departments. This involved gathering feedback from existing users and analyzing competitor mobile applications.

From the research findings, the following were defined as necessary features:
Wireframes were created to prototype and refine the app's user interface. These wireframes focused on ensuring an intuitive and seamless user experience.

High-fidelity designs were developed, incorporating feedback from wireframe testing. The design phase included creating color mockups, iconography, and marketing media to ensure a cohesive and visually appealing user interface.
The iOS version was delivered first in 8 months, followed by the Android version 4 months later. Development focused on creating a secure solution that was both robust and user-friendly.

Upon launching the app, it was found that users appreciated the convenience and security provided by mobile access to payroll and HR information. The app received positive feedback for its intuitive design and comprehensive features.
